Almighty and everlasting God, grant that our wills be ever meekly subject to Thy will, and our hearts be ever honestly ready to serve Thee. Amen.
I love that this prayer serves as a reminder that what's important isn't really my will, but God's will. God, in His goodness, gives me free will to choose Him. Thanks be to God! But to grow closer to Him means to grow in my desire that His will be done, rather than mine.
