Today we recall the Presentation of the Lord.
Simeon had been promised that before he died, he would see Christ the Lord. Imagine! To be promised by the Holy Spirit that you would see the Savior of the world? And then to have parents bring you the child Jesus?
As incredible as it was, Jesus comes to us, as well. And we can receive Him body and soul in the Eucharist!Let's recall today how blessed we are that our Savior has come into the world, and that he has come to save us.
“Now, Master, you may let your servant go
in peace, according to your word,
for my eyes have seen your salvation,
which you prepared in the sight of all the peoples:
a light for revelation to the Gentiles,
and glory for your people Israel.”
